Get to Know A Global Printmaking Community
The Covid-19 pandemic stopped us from travelling for residencies and workshops and we have missed the connections these experiences provide artists to discover, learn and cross-pollinate. Luckily, in our interconnected virtual world we can travel by ZOOM from the comfort of our homes and we are thrilled to present the first Zea Mays Printmaking sponsored Virtual World Tour!
Over the course of ten weeks, we will be visiting different printmaking artists and print shops all around the world and we invite you to join us! At each stop, we'll meet the artist(s), watch a demonstration of a printmaking technique in use at that studio, get a tour of the space and take time for live Q & A. All of the visits will be presented in English. Each artist/studio on the tour has a connection to Zea Mays Printmaking and is part of the worldwide community of artists interested in safer and more sustainable printmaking.
You can buy tickets for individual stops, or the whole grand tour! Each visit will be recorded and you will have access to the video recording to watch over and over, as often as you like. So even if you can't make the live stop - you can enjoy the visit on your own time. Each stop is 60-90 minutes long.
$35 per stop/$250 for the whole tour (includes recordings of all stops with unlimited viewing)
After you have made your purchase, you will receive a ticket with the ZOOM link for the live presentation. We'll also send you a reminder email the day before. The video recordings will be uploaded after each live presentation is complete and you will have unlimited access to view the tour stop.

Maak kennis met een wereldwijde grafische gemeenschap.
Het voorbije jaar heeft de pandemie ervoor gezorgd dat residenties en deelnemen aan workshops moeilijk te verwezenlijken zijn. Daardoor hebben velen de kans gemist om via residenties e/of workshops andere grafici te leren kennen en de ervaring die daarmee samengaan. We konden niet ontdekken, onze ervaringen delen of gewoonweg simpel met elkaar in gesprek gaan over ons geliefd medium.
Maar dankzij Zoom kunnen we er toch iets van maken. Zea Mays Printmaking Studio is dan ook verheugd om de eerste Virtual World Tour te presenteren.
Gedurende 10 weken bezoeken we 8 studios verspreid over 4 continenten. Bij elke stop ontmoeten we één of meer grafici die een grafische techniek demonstreren waar zij mee werken. Tevens tonen ze je ook hun werkplek. Na de demo en rondleiding is er ruim de tijd voor een vraag en antwoord moment.
Alle bezoeken en demonstraties worden gepresenteerd in het Engels. Elke artiest/studio op de tour heeft een connectie met Zea Mays Printmaking en maakt deel uit van de wereldwijde gemeenschap van kunstenaars die geïnteresseerd zijn in veiliger en duurzamer manier van grafiek maken.
Kaartjes voor deze World Tour zijn te koop voor individuele haltes, of de hele grote tour! Elk bezoek en demonstratie wordt opgenomen en u heeft toegang tot de video-opname om die steeds opnieuw te bekijken, zo vaak u wilt. Dus zelfs als u de live-stop niet kunt maken, kunt u in uw eigen tijd van het bezoek genieten. Elke demo en bezoek duurt 60-90 minuten.
$ 35 per stop / $ 250 voor de hele tour (inclusief opnames van alle stops met onbeperkt bekijken).
Nadat je je aankoop hebt gedaan, ontvang je een ticket met de ZOOM-link voor de live presentatie. We sturen je de dag ervoor ook een herinneringsmail. De video-opnames worden geüpload nadat elke live presentatie is voltooid en je hebt onbeperkte toegang om de tourstop te bekijken.
