printgreenprintsafe.org? It sounds pretty green. In a glance, there is a link with non-toxic printmaking. This website seeks to raise awareness for a different way of printmaking without ignoring tradition. Everyone has the freedom to work in their own individual way.

Within the rich history of printmaking, non-toxic techniques are simply the next step. That does not mean we have to clash with the methods that came before. In the field of printmaking, there has always been a forward movement building on its rich past.

Now more than ever, in human history, we are asking ourselves questions about how we treat our environment and ourselves. This is also evident within printmaking. We need a way of working that not only benefits our health, but is also ecologically sound and builds on a sustainable way of working. Non-toxic techniques can help with this.

With this website, we do not want to mimic other excellent other websites such as nontoxicprint.org, zeamaysprintmaking.com or grafiskexperimentarium.dk. They have been here for years and have contributed immensely to the non-toxic printmaking community.

printgreenprintsafe.org wants to set a new course, with its own voice and vision.

This bilingual site is still under construction.  At the moment the site is temporarily used to promote the Department Printmaking - Academy for Visual Arts Ghent, Belgium.
